Regan Taylor is a Graduate of The UCOL THEATRE SCHOOL. He has worked professionally as a Director, Actor, and Tutor for 20 years with various companies around New Zealand and Australia.

He is a member of The Maori Sidesteps touring with their live show around Aotearoa and on-screen with their television Series “Hari with the Sidesteps

 Regan’s experience is vast and is often invited to workshop and develop new works, for major theatre-makers in New Zealand

“Kiss the Fish” – Indian Ink

As a deviser and writer, his works are still in demand. His solo show “SOLOthello” has toured throughout New Zealand, Australia and Canada

Regan's inspiration to work more within Māori kaupapa started when he formed Te Rēhia Theatre Company in Tāmaki Makaurau alongside Tainui Tukiwaho and Amber Curreen, developing Māori-inspired stories for Aotearoa and beyond.

His latest mahi was as Assistant Director of Hatupatu I Kurungaituku: A Forbidden Love with Taki Rua.
